Today was our Salt Lake City day. We went to This Is The Place Heritage Park. We got there in the early morning. It was like the place was scheduled just for us. We walked through the open gates, and the train was waiting for us. We got off the train and went right into the Brigham Young Home. As soon as the tour was over we got right back on the train, and rode into the main town. Ben and Louise met us at the park and joined the fun straight from the airport. While in the main town we were able to eat at the hotel, make wax candles, did pioneer children chores, played pioneer games, did leather tooling, rode the ponies, pet the goats, bunnies and oxen, and participated (by being part of the jury) in a town trial. We also rode out to the Native American Village to pan for gold and make arrow head necklaces. Along the way we saw many different homes and buildings. While in Salt Lake City, we walked around temple square. In the south visitor's center there is a cut away model of the Temple and a large window to view of the Temple. This way it was easy to see what it looks like inside. They also have touch screens that explain the different rooms etc. I was glad that the family could learn a little more about what the Temple is and why we have them.

Sounds like an awesome day. They probably learned a few things without even realizing it.
