I ended my last post by saying we wanted to go back to
Minnehaha falls ASAP. Yesterday didn't work, so today was the day. It was so hot and HUMID that it was perfect idea to hit the falls. I grabbed Lori, her girls and our neighbor Cameron. We packed up a picnic lunch and had a blast.
On our way to the swimming area, we stopped to climb around again.
We have had a lot of storms lately, so the falls and the current in the river are super strong. The kids had a blast fighting the current and then floating down the river.
Other areas the current is not as strong. I love that the kids have so much freedom at this park.
It is also a small miracle that nobody got burned..I of course forgot the sunscreen, but I get points for the swim suits right? I even had enough towels for everyone too.
Can you believe this park is in Minneapolis? You would never guess the city is so close by. We had a bunch of happy kiddos today and all for free. The boys are holding up "fossils" they found in the river. Cameron said it was way better than the water park and the most fun he has had in months!

That sounds like a ton of fun! I'd love to go with you guys some time if we ever get out that way! I would love to come and play again we had such a blast last year!
