Provo Canyon

This morning we decided to head to the mountains. After all, we are surrounded by them and they are incredible. We headed up Provo Canyon. Right before entering we stopped at Subway to pick up some sandwiches for lunch.

Our first canyon stop was Bridal Veil Falls. It is not very far up the canyon. There is a nice paved path to the base.

The children got to play around the base of the falls. The water was feet numbing cold, but the kids wadded around for a bit anyway.

Our next trip was to Sundance Ski Resort. It is only a few miles further up the canyon. We rode the ski lift for a scenic view of the mountains. The jury is still up as to if everyone thought it was fun. Ask Ben and he would say it was the scariest experience of his life and he seriously kissed the ground when we were done. Me...I thought it was amazing and would do it again in a heartbeat. The views were breathtaking! We stopped at the top..took some pictures. Ben asked if he could walk down instead of ride...was denied (because of all the mountain bikers on the trail right now)...got back on for the ride down the mountain. Ry decided to ride alone (he was NOT scared at all) in the chair in front of me and Ben, Louise, Adele, Fiona and Emily were behind me.

No outing is complete without ending with some ice-cream. We stopped by the BYU Creamery for some cones.

I would probably be with Ben on not wanting to go back down. Especially with little ones. Sounds like you're seeing it all. Do you still have any time to meet up?
