Kid's Kamp

My parents have started a tradition of a camp for the grandparents and the grandchildren. They go to the cabin in Wisconsin and have a ton of fun. They get to make memories with each other...and the parents get to stay home. Everybody wins. This year they are going to make bug collections, go on a treasure hunt, go on a scavenger hunt (which Nico has clearified will not include eating dead animals), boating, swimming, campfires and exploring. My dad designed and made the T-shirts. The kids love them. They made bug nets. The kids love the bug nets. You should see all the food. Good times. They also will put together a time capsule for the camp memories this year. My kids have been looking forward to this for a long time. I will admit I have been looking forward to this too.
Our French/Swiss cousins are here this year.

What a great idea! I would totally be on board with that. Glad you guys got some "Mommy-Daddy" time, that is always a fun treat.

And good job on the cooking with wheat! I would have made a comment but sadly I am totally lame when it comes to food storage. But my sister did tell me about a cool website called ShelfReliance.com where they sell those cool slanted shelves for cans. If it involves organizing, I should have jumped on board the food storage train long ago...
